The dates for Marching Band Camp are as follows: Pre-camp at CHS: July 14-17 from 6-9pm Band Camp at Lincoln Lake: July 20-25 Cost: $300 Please don't let the cost be a prohibiting factor in your participation. We have a great boosters organization that will help in many ways to make sure EVERYONE who wants to can participate. We are committed to making sure ALL students can attend for camp. Please don't hesitate to ask with any questions.

We're pleased to share some exciting news about a fundraising program for our organization. It's called "Scrip", and it's the fundraising program that works while you shop. Scrip is simply a word that means "substitute money" - in other words, Scrip is gift certificates from national and local retailers. They're the same gift certificates that you buy at the store. Many popular retailers participate in our Scrip program including Meijer, D & W, JCPenney, Wendy's, Shell, Pizza Hut, Target, Speedway, Home Depot and many, many others.
You're probably asking yourself how these stores help raise money. It's simple -- Scrip participating retailers agree to sell gilft certificates to our organization at a discount. Member families like ours buy the certificates for full face value, they redeem them for full face value, and our school keeps the difference as revenue. And Scrip is exciting, because everybody wins:

You get a powerful fundraising alternative that involves no selling...
Your student receives funds directly deposited into their Band Boosters account.
Caledonia Band Boosters has chosen to place 90% of the posted revenue into your student's individual band account. The remaining 10% will go to the Band Boosters for shipping, handling and the purchase of supplies. (The funds in your student's band account may be used for marching band camp, uniform and instrument fees, and the like. Any funds remaining in your student's account will be donated to the Caledonia Band Booster's when you student leaves the band program).
The beauty of Scrip is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work. You earn money for our school without spending a single additional penny. Just spend your regular shopping dollars with Scrip at the stores that participate in the Scrip program! And Scrip can be used for just about any household purchase including food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline and even dining out. The Caledonia Band Boosters Scrip program promises to be a simple and effective fundraising program.

D&W Cash For Class: The Caledonia Bands are participating in the D&W and Family Fare Cash for Class program. You can register your YES Card to donate a certain percentage off the total of your purchases to the Band Program. It isn't to late to return the fundraising letters. Please get them to Mr. Wellfare and we will send them out for you! If you need a copy, click here. To date we only have 40 band students that handed in the FUNDRAISING LETTER CAMPAIGN which was handed out at the Parent Meeting in July. This is our largest fundraiser and without participation we will have to come up with additional fundraising ideas which will involve asking more time from parents to volunteer. The letter fundraiser is an opportunity for everyone to participate without creating a large parent time participation commitment. If you have misplaced the forms that need to be filled out please let us know & we will be happy to send the 5 forms home with your band student. If you are not sure what we are talking about click here to see the cover letter & a copy of the letter that needs to be filled out (total of 5 given to each household).
We have some lofty fundraising goals this year, which if met, will reduce camp costs for everyone!
